Back2Life – 12 Minute Back Pain Solution

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

Bella Shaw, former CNN anchor, hosts the Back2Life infomercial about a product which offers the “12 Minute Back Pain Solution”. Bella starts out with the staggering stats about back pain; 8 out of 10 people suffer from back pain at some point in their life, it’s second most common neurological ailment in the US behind only headaches, it’s the 2nd leading reason for work absences behind the common cold, and over $50 billion is spent annually for chronic low back pain relief. Bella says a new device has experts in Europe “jumping up and down for joy”.

That device is of course the Back2Life machine, the 12 Minute Back Pain solution. It’s been used by back pain specialists in Europe to help provide relief for chronic back pain relief. Dr. Marc Darrow joins Bella Shaw in the infomercial to discuss Back2Life. Dr. Darrow is an expert on pain management and an assistant professor at the UCLA school of medicine. Darrow demonstrates the Back 2 Life and how back pain sufferers have compression in their spine and vertebrae. Dr. Darrow says heat and pressure don’t help open up the vertebrae, but Back2Life will. It allows oxygen and blood to flow to the area of the back that needs it most.

How it Works:
The Back2Life machine uses a technique called Continuous Passive Motion. The process relaxes tight muscles, opens compressed vertebrae and naturally aligns the spine to help ease back pain discomfort. The Back2Life is said to help people no matter what their back pain situation may be, short term or long term. Basically the person using the device lays on their back with their legs bent at the knee area resting on the device. It provides the motion described above to help relax the muscles an works on aligning the spine in a 12 minute time period. The motion is very gentle with no strain or stretching involved.

What’s included & Cost: The Back2Life justifies the cost of their device by saying it’s more inexpensive when compared to the many therapy appointments, mattresses, pain pills, and other expensive items like those $3000 Human Touch massage chairs. The Back2Life sells in Europe for over $600 according to the ad, but through this infomercial it can be yours for just 5 easy payments of $39.95 plus S&H. Also included is a special Firmapedic pillow, designed to keep your head in proper alignment while you sleep.

Customer testimonials: Various customers happily pronounce that they’ve received Back2Life back pain relief, and the device works for them each and every time they use it. One man who had suffered from back pain for 20 years, said his pain was completely gone after using the device. Another woman struggled with back pain following her pregnancy and was relieved by using the 12 minute solution. There’s several other testimonials given from various people. In fine print at the bottom of the screen is “Extraordinary results. Your results will vary”.

John Beck’s Free & Clear Real Estate System – Scam or Plan?

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Some believe that John Beck’s system works for buying cheap tax foreclosure properties, while others think it’s a John Beck scam. The “Flip Homes for Cash” infomercial program is hosted by Michelle Boudreau and talks about buying homes for just “pennies on the dollar”. This is of course revealed through the real estate secret’s in “John Beck’s Free and Clear Real Estate System” a series of guides, DVD’s and CD’s. The strategies that John Beck’s product outline are special strategies most people don’t know about that take advantage of the current real estate market. According to the infomercial, John’s strategies apply not just to homes, but all types of real estate such as condos, apartments, duplexes and time shares. People who buy the system can supposedly buy properties for just hundreds of dollars, without monthly mortgage payments, then turn around to either rent or sell the properties at a profit.

The infomercial shows various homes and real estate properties that they claim were purchased for ownership for just a few hundred dollars with no monthly payments. Various residences include a small one level house bought for $258.52 and another for just $187.24. Some of he customers who bought into the system tell their success stories. The creator John Beck takes host Michelle Boudreau on a tour of some of he properties that were snatched up for just hundreds of dollars. The creator of the program claims that recently over 2.2 million of the special properties have become available for purchase, meaning everyone can profit from his system.

Creator:
John Beck is the creator of the “Free & Clear Real Estate System”. Beck is a California attorney and author of books such as “The Complete Guide to Real Estate Foreclosure Super Bargains in California” and “The Forced Sale Workbook” The infomercial names him as “America’s Top Tax Foreclosure Expert” who has become a millionaire using the tax foreclosure purchasing method. According to his website’s bio John Beck holds M.B.A.’s in both Taxation and Real Estate and has taught various real estate subjects at the collegiate level. He’s also used his own methods to buy tax lien certificates in states such as Arizona, Florida, Michigan and Texas. He conducts frequent real estate seminars in California and has penned numerous real estate articles for various publications.

What’s included:

Quick Start DVD
Buying Free & Clear Properties by Mail
Making Money with Free & Clear Properties on the Internet
North American Tax Sale Directory
Real Estate for Pennies on the Dollar – Tax Lien Edition
Real Estate for Pennies on the Dollar – Tax Deed Edition

Beck also promises viewers lists of the available tax foreclosure properties in their area.

How it works: According to Mr. Beck, the homes referenced in the infomercial came from special government-backed tax sale foreclosure programs that the average person isn’t aware of. The homes are purchased through a special program known as government tax lien foreclosure process, where homes which had delinquent property taxes on them were seized. Since cities and towns depend on tax money they created foreclosure programs. Mr. Beck states in the infomercial that the government’s right to collect property tax almost always comes before the banks’ rights for mortgages or loan collection. This gives the towns and cities the right to auction off properties free and clear of any previous money owed on the properties to anyone willing to come in and pay off the back taxes.

Typical cost: The infomercial cites a cost of $39.95 plus shipping and handling with a money back guarantee. The infomercial guarantees you’ll find your first property in less than 30 days. The infomercial also states the first 250 people to call and order receive a free membership into John Beck’s Property Vault. Order number: 1-800-936-9902 / Official site: johnbeck.net

Tony Little’s Gazelle Edge Review

Saturday, April 4th, 2009

One very well known entrepreneur and fitness guru is the highly animated and energetic Tony Little. His major fitness product, The Gazelle has been seen on numerous infomercials featuring Tony and his workout partners gliding on the machine to stay in shape. Tony Little’s Gazelle Edge is considered the lightest weight model of the Gazelle family and supports a maximum of 250 lbs weight. Other versions of the Gazelle exercise machine include the Gazelle Freestlye and Gazelle Power Plus. It’s an exercise device which works both the upper and lower body while giving a great cardiovascular workout to burn calories, reducing fat and shedding pounds. So the Gazelle exercise machine has the backing of a fitness guru who seems to be in great shape with a lot of energy, but does the Gazelle Edge by Tony Little really work?

Check latest deals for the Tony Little Gazelle used and new.

One of our infomercial product testers recently ordered the Tony Little Gazelle Edge straight from the infomercial for just $74.99 and chose rush delivery. Typically the Gazelle takes about 4-6 weeks with standard delivery, but in this case the free rush delivery brought it in 12 days. Included in the box were the actual Gazelle Edge exercise machine (with built on workout computer), along with an instructional DVD and lifetime warranty. Our tester, Melissa, reported that Tony Little’s Gazelle took her only 15 minutes to assemble, requiring just a screwdriver and clevis wrench. After giving it a 30 minute initial test, she reported the Gazelle has a very sturdy construction, and it’s very easy on the knees, reducing overall joint impact.

One of the few issues our tester pointed out about the Gazelle Edge is about the workout computer built onto the device, which she felt wasn’t too accurate. The meter measures things such as your steps, calories burned, miles completed and acts as a timer. Our tester found that the various readings continued going even when the arms weren’t swinging, making it a less accurate measure. The meter swings with the bars while you’re moving making it harder to read your stats. Our tester also felt the workout she got was good, but it didn’t target the entire body like the product claims to, mainly just the biceps and legs, but not the abdominals as much.

Overall, our tester was pleased with the Tony Little Gazelle Edge product so far at the price she paid, feels it’s a great alternative to a treadmill and is much quieter for apartment situations. This review will be updated as more info becomes available about our tester’s experiences with the product.

Product: Tony Little’s Gazelle Edge
Approximate price: $74.99
Shipping: Rush shipping free

Pros: Easy to assemble (few tools, low time)
– Easy on the knees
– Sturdy construction
– Quiet performance

Cons: Meter to measure distance, time, etc. could be more accurate and incorporated better into the design.
– Initial workout didn’t seem to target entire body
