John Beck’s Free & Clear Real Estate System – Scam or Plan?

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Some believe that John Beck’s system works for buying cheap tax foreclosure properties, while others think it’s a John Beck scam. The “Flip Homes for Cash” infomercial program is hosted by Michelle Boudreau and talks about buying homes for just “pennies on the dollar”. This is of course revealed through the real estate secret’s in “John Beck’s Free and Clear Real Estate System” a series of guides, DVD’s and CD’s. The strategies that John Beck’s product outline are special strategies most people don’t know about that take advantage of the current real estate market. According to the infomercial, John’s strategies apply not just to homes, but all types of real estate such as condos, apartments, duplexes and time shares. People who buy the system can supposedly buy properties for just hundreds of dollars, without monthly mortgage payments, then turn around to either rent or sell the properties at a profit.

The infomercial shows various homes and real estate properties that they claim were purchased for ownership for just a few hundred dollars with no monthly payments. Various residences include a small one level house bought for $258.52 and another for just $187.24. Some of he customers who bought into the system tell their success stories. The creator John Beck takes host Michelle Boudreau on a tour of some of he properties that were snatched up for just hundreds of dollars. The creator of the program claims that recently over 2.2 million of the special properties have become available for purchase, meaning everyone can profit from his system.

Creator:
John Beck is the creator of the “Free & Clear Real Estate System”. Beck is a California attorney and author of books such as “The Complete Guide to Real Estate Foreclosure Super Bargains in California” and “The Forced Sale Workbook” The infomercial names him as “America’s Top Tax Foreclosure Expert” who has become a millionaire using the tax foreclosure purchasing method. According to his website’s bio John Beck holds M.B.A.’s in both Taxation and Real Estate and has taught various real estate subjects at the collegiate level. He’s also used his own methods to buy tax lien certificates in states such as Arizona, Florida, Michigan and Texas. He conducts frequent real estate seminars in California and has penned numerous real estate articles for various publications.

What’s included:

Quick Start DVD
Buying Free & Clear Properties by Mail
Making Money with Free & Clear Properties on the Internet
North American Tax Sale Directory
Real Estate for Pennies on the Dollar – Tax Lien Edition
Real Estate for Pennies on the Dollar – Tax Deed Edition

Beck also promises viewers lists of the available tax foreclosure properties in their area.

How it works: According to Mr. Beck, the homes referenced in the infomercial came from special government-backed tax sale foreclosure programs that the average person isn’t aware of. The homes are purchased through a special program known as government tax lien foreclosure process, where homes which had delinquent property taxes on them were seized. Since cities and towns depend on tax money they created foreclosure programs. Mr. Beck states in the infomercial that the government’s right to collect property tax almost always comes before the banks’ rights for mortgages or loan collection. This gives the towns and cities the right to auction off properties free and clear of any previous money owed on the properties to anyone willing to come in and pay off the back taxes.

Typical cost: The infomercial cites a cost of $39.95 plus shipping and handling with a money back guarantee. The infomercial guarantees you’ll find your first property in less than 30 days. Dean Graziosi’s Real Estate and Foreclosure Profits – Scam or Plan?

Saturday, April 4th, 2009

Want to make a lot of money from the real estate market? Foreclosure Profits is a current TV infomercial that promises you just that, if you buy into its methods. Real estate millionaire Dean Graziosi is the man behind the product and helps people make money in real estate by capitalizing on market cycles. Dean Graziosi has previously been associated with as seen on TV advertisements for “Motor Millions” and “Think a Little Different”, both products to help epople profit from real estate. In one of his most recent Foreclosure Profits infomercials, Dean accentuates the fact that our economy is in a trying time as of late 2008, with uncertainty over who the new president will be and what they’ll do for our economy. Dean promises people a way to turn their financial situation around, no matter how bad their situation may be. His product teaches people how to buy Real Estate appropriately during the market cycles to make serious money and improve their overall financial situations. As with most infomercials claiming to help you get rich, many people wonder if Dean Graziosi’s full of scams or smart plans to help you financially succeed.

Dean’s books and courses teach strategies that he claims will help people make a fortune from today’s already down real estate market. Dean claims that various people have read the book and applied the concepts in it to make serious money and improve their financial situation. In the infomercial, various home video footage sent in by “actual people” shows people who have used the methods Dean suggests. The actual people claim they’ve made tens of thousands of dollars using Dean’s strategies and tips, with no money down and no bank loans whatsoever.

Creator: Dean Graziosi is a real estate expert, bestselling author and investor. He may be a prime example of a rags to riches story, as he grew up wearing second hand clothes, and his mother worked two jobs just to earn $90 a week. He lived in a trailer home and didn’t complete high school back then. Dean became motivated from there on out to better his situation. His book Be a Real Estate Millionaire talks of how Dean achieved financial freedom through making some great real estate investments. As a teenager he bought a run down apartment building with no money down, fixed it up and sold at a profit. Now Dean has been teaching novice real estate investors for over 20 years how to make these financially savvy real estate purchases. Dean’s book “Be a Real Estate Millionaire” become one of the hottest real estate books on the market and a New York Times bestseller.

How it works: Dean’s system teaches you step by step strategies on how to find real estate losers and make them into winners. It claims to give strategies to buy properties cheaper than anywhere else, to buy the home and then rent out the property for positive cash flow. The “Profit from Real Estate Right Now” book reveals Dean’s strategies and loopholes that people can use to buy foreclosed properties for pennies on the dollar during down real estate markets, then turn them into rental properties for positive cash flow. In the infomercial, Dean has claimed that we’re near the bottom of the real estate market and stand to make a good deal of money from it in the future. Ironically, Dean mentions in his infomercial that he saw an ad for “Houses for $300” and that just isn’t realistic. It’s unknown whether Dean’s strategies and methods truly work or if these are Dean Graziosi scams.

What’s included:
“Profit from Real Estate Right Now” is Dean’s brand new book about how to profit from the current down markets. On the infomercial it sells for $19.95 plus shipping and handling. He’s also giving away his previous book Be a Real Estate Millionaire for free with it. Dean also includes “Special report: Student Secrets”, a report about how his students got themselves out of debt.

Fine print: “Some students may have purchased optional support program. Results not typical”. Also note, we have not tested these products and can’t say whether this system truly works, or if Dean Graziosi’s products are scams.
