The current infomercial “Get Ripped in 90 days!” introduces people to the revolutionary P90X workout system by fitness expert Tony Horton. The commercial opens with “if you want to look extraordinary…you’re gonna first have to go…extreme”. What the P90X does is really works out every possible aspect of the human body. P90X results: The infomercial shows P90X lean results pictures of various men and women who claim to have used the P90X system successfully. Viewers are shown Day 1 photos of women in swimsuits or topless men versus Day 90 photos (after using P90X), with amazing results. Testimonials come from various people including a law enforcement officer, firefighter and a mother. One man’s photo shows his physique from the army versus his much improved physique from using the P90X training system. In the infomercial, Tony says Marines have even chosen to use the P90X system for their training regimen.

Creator: Tony Horton, a fitness expert who believes he’s found the age-defying system that will get you continued results in your quest to lose weight. In the infomercial it’s revealed that Tony, at 50 years of age, is a prime example of how well his fitness system works. Tony had the motivation to become more fit, but not in a bodybuilder way. He was described a scrawny or bony when he was younger, so Tony began focusing on getting himself a better physique through hard work and varied routines. He did this after graduating from the University of Rhode Island and moving to California to pursue his dream. Tony joined World Gym in Venice Beach and became a constant student of bodybuilding, fitness training and health. All of this knowledge and training helped transform Tony into a fitness guru. During his fitness career, Tony Horton has trained celebrities such as Sean Connery, Tom Petty, and Shirley MacLaine as well as the cast of the motion picture “The 13th Warrior”. In the late 90’s he was the face of the Nordic Track fitness product, and upon meeting Carl Daikeler, CEO of Beachbody, Tony forged a relationship that has helped him introduce revolutionary fitness workouts and products to the world including the P90X fitness program.

How it works: Almost everyone who works out gets results quickly in the beginning but then they begin to level off, or plateau as they continue working out. Tony’s fitness philosophy is to respond to these training plateaus that people hit during their workouts, by introducing new levels of fitness challenges. The program uses an advanced training technique called “muscle confusion”. Muscle confusion will accelerate the results with the constant introduction of new moves and routines into the workout. Tony Horton describes his fitness philosophy as using “variety and intensity” to keep challenging the human body. The P90X workouts involve core workouts, plyometrics, cardio, martial arts, yoga techniques, and weight training to keep challenging the body so it won’t plateau, but will continue growing and getting the best results. People who use the P90X fitness program claim to see bigger muscle gains and greater fat loss.

Tony Little’s Gazelle Edge Review

Tony Little’s Gazelle Edge Review

Saturday, April 4th, 2009

One very well known entrepreneur and fitness guru is the highly animated and energetic Tony Little. His major fitness product, The Gazelle has been seen on numerous infomercials featuring Tony and his workout partners gliding on the machine to stay in shape. Tony Little’s Gazelle Edge is considered the lightest weight model of the Gazelle family and supports a maximum of 250 lbs weight. Other versions of the Gazelle exercise machine include the Gazelle Freestlye and Gazelle Power Plus. It’s an exercise device which works both the upper and lower body while giving a great cardiovascular workout to burn calories, reducing fat and shedding pounds. So the Gazelle exercise machine has the backing of a fitness guru who seems to be in great shape with a lot of energy, but does the Gazelle Edge by Tony Little really work?

Check latest deals for the Tony Little Gazelle used and new.

One of our infomercial product testers recently ordered the Tony Little Gazelle Edge straight from the infomercial for just $74.99 and chose rush delivery. Typically the Gazelle takes about 4-6 weeks with standard delivery, but in this case the free rush delivery brought it in 12 days. Included in the box were the actual Gazelle Edge exercise machine (with built on workout computer), along with an instructional DVD and lifetime warranty. Our tester, Melissa, reported that Tony Little’s Gazelle took her only 15 minutes to assemble, requiring just a screwdriver and clevis wrench. After giving it a 30 minute initial test, she reported the Gazelle has a very sturdy construction, and it’s very easy on the knees, reducing overall joint impact.

One of the few issues our tester pointed out about the Gazelle Edge is about the workout computer built onto the device, which she felt wasn’t too accurate. The meter measures things such as your steps, calories burned, miles completed and acts as a timer. Our tester found that the various readings continued going even when the arms weren’t swinging, making it a less accurate measure. The meter swings with the bars while you’re moving making it harder to read your stats. Our tester also felt the workout she got was good, but it didn’t target the entire body like the product claims to, mainly just the biceps and legs, but not the abdominals as much.

Overall, our tester was pleased with the Tony Little Gazelle Edge product so far at the price she paid, feels it’s a great alternative to a treadmill and is much quieter for apartment situations. This review will be updated as more info becomes available about our tester’s experiences with the product.
