Does Tony Horton’s P90X fitness plan really work? Even more importantly, what is P90X? The current infomercial “Get Ripped in 90 days!” introduces people to the revolutionary P90X workout system by fitness expert Tony Horton. The commercial opens with “if you want to look extraordinary…you’re gonna first have to go…extreme”. What the P90X does is really works out every possible aspect of the human body. The program is a 90 day series of various home workouts which will teach people how to live the ultimate fitness lifestyle. The workouts challenge people with various styles of workout and intensities to keep people from hitting training plateaus. P90X results: The infomercial shows P90X lean results pictures of various men and women who claim to have used the P90X system successfully. Viewers are shown Day 1 photos of women in swimsuits or topless men versus Day 90 photos (after using P90X), with amazing results. Testimonials come from various people including a law enforcement officer, firefighter and a mother. One man’s photo shows his physique from the army versus his much improved physique from using the P90X training system. In the infomercial, Tony says Marines have even chosen to use the P90X system for their training regimen.
Creator: Tony Horton, a fitness expert who believes he’s found the age-defying system that will get you continued results in your quest to lose weight. In the infomercial it’s revealed that Tony, at 50 years of age, is a prime example of how well his fitness system works. Tony had the motivation to become more fit, but not in a bodybuilder way. He was described a scrawny or bony when he was younger, so Tony began focusing on getting himself a better physique through hard work and varied routines. He did this after graduating from the University of Rhode Island and moving to California to pursue his dream. Tony joined World Gym in Venice Beach and became a constant student of bodybuilding, fitness training and health. All of this knowledge and training helped transform Tony into a fitness guru. During his fitness career, Tony Horton has trained celebrities such as Sean Connery, Tom Petty, and Shirley MacLaine as well as the cast of the motion picture “The 13th Warrior”. In the late 90’s he was the face of the Nordic Track fitness product, and upon meeting Carl Daikeler, CEO of Beachbody, Tony forged a relationship that has helped him introduce revolutionary fitness workouts and products to the world including the P90X fitness program.
